The Royal Bank of Scotland project in Stamford, Connecticut began construction in mid 2008 and is projected to be completed by early to mid 2009. Chelsea Lighting is supplying all of the lighting for the building. During the construction period, this project provides many construction jobs for contractors of all trades, and once open, the building will provide approximately 600 additional jobs. With its location right off of interstate I-95, and close proximity to the Stamford train station, this new office space will make the commute stress free.

In May 2008, AOL opened its new corporate headquarters at 770 Broadway relocating from its former base in Dulles, Virginia. The building dates from 1903 and was designed by Daniel Burnham (the Flatiron Building). AOL’s new space was designed by Mancini Duffy, and they will seek LEED certification, presumably under the Commercial Interiors. The tower offers 165,000 square feet of retail space. Tenants include Ann Taylor Loft, Kmart, and Bank of America. AOL’s lease is for 152,000 square feet over two floors at the 15-story tower.

The AOL Time Warner Center, at Columbus Circle, features a 750 feet, twin-towered multi-use complex which houses the AOL Time Warner World headquarters, a 250-room luxury hotel (the Mandarin Oriental), shopping center, with restaurants, and a 41,000 square foot concert hall for use of Jazz at Lincoln Center. Chelsea Lighting was awarded the initial AOL Time Warner Center Interior fit-out by Zwicker Electric which was completed in 2005.

Goldman Sachs Global Headquarters is a 740 foot tall, 43 story building with over 2.1 million square feet of office space including 5 trading floors. This LEED Gold Certified skyscraper is the newest edition in the Battery Park area of Manhattan. Chelsea Lighting was awarded the lighting package for the Executive Level floors by Structuretone in April of 2009 and successfully completed the project in one year.

Based out of Hong Kong, Li&Fung USA added 4 floors of corporate office space and elegant showsroom to their already well occupied area along the fashion district on West Broadway. Lightolier Uplight Track along with Amerlux CMH track heads combined to display the multiple handbag companies under the Li&Fung label. The lighting packaged focused on energy efficiency and LEED Silver Certification. On November 23rd 2010, Li &Fung announced that they will launch handbag collections for Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony.

This 37-story courthouse, originally known as the Foley Square Courthouse, was completed in 1936 is listed today in the National Register of Historic Places. Home to the US Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, it was rededicated as the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse in 2003. A complete restoration of the building began in 2009 and is expected to be finished at the end of 2011. Chelsea was awarded the entire lighting package in 2009 by Five Star Electric, which includes hundreds of refurbished antique brass chandeliers and fixtures.

The Antenna at 4 Times Square is a 385’ tower that transmits FM and TV signals throughout NYC. Chelsea Lighting was awarded the lighting contract by Fred Geller Electric. The 220 Color Kinetics Color Blast fixtures illuminate the tower 1,118’ above ground. The Durst Organization intends on coordinating the color shift with the Spire located at the top of the Bank of American Tower at 1 Bryant Park.
