Eric Martin joined Chelsea Lighting in 2012 and as a Principal, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel oversees the administrative functions including human resources, technology and legal.
Eric’s interest in business and law started in college when Eric worked as a White House intern for President Clinton in Washington D.C. and then spent time in England studying at the London School of Economics and Oxford University. Upon graduation from Hamilton College with an honors degree in political science, Eric worked in portfolio management at JP Morgan in New York City and Geneva, Switzerland. After four years at JP Morgan, Eric went to Hofstra Law School where he was a member of the Law Review and served as the Business Manager. Eric started his legal career in New York City at a large corporate law firm, practicing law in the field of mergers & acquisitions and securities. After four years of practicing law in private practice, Eric worked as in-house counsel for an $8 billion Fortune 250 packaging company providing legal support to the Supply Chain and business units.
Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and enjoys playing tennis, traveling and attending sporting events.
