Key Elements

  • Size of space: 700,000 sq ft, 11 floors
  • Unique challenge: the GroupM offices are part of the World Trade Center footprint, requiring high level security for building access and less flexibility to move around the job site
  • The proposed design included a color changing staircase as a focal point for the space, requiring Chelsea’s execution expertise
  • Chelsea played an integral role in coordinating key players for the different control systems involved in this design

Overview

Chelsea Lighting was utilized in this project to oversee the execution of the fit out and integration of multiple controls systems while also being the lighting distribution expert.

Design Specifics:

  • The GroupM offices are very employee focused with numerous amenities available, each with a unique purpose and need
  • The new design included the addition of a large, color changing staircase

By being on site for coordination meetings daily, Chelsea ensured stakeholders of the various control systems were organized and on track.

The completed design captures the various moods within each of these unique amenity spaces provided to the GroupM team. The color changing staircase anchors the entire space and provides the foundation for the rest of the workspace layout.
