Our Rotational Development Program (RDP) is a proven effective, hands-on, fully immersive program intended to equip and train highly adept individuals with the skills needed to succeed and grow in our fast-paced unique environment. Because lighting matters, at Chelsea, we created our RDP to help driven employees get up to speed and fully primed for success in our field and as a member of our team.

As a member of the RDP, you can learn the nuts and bolts for the vital service areas here at Chelsea and the essential day-to-day processes that keep us achieving our best and delivering on some of the highest-profile rewarding projects in today’s cutting-edge industries. Our Program is unique in that we dynamically align you based upon your interest, evolving development, and business needs within our functional areas. This allows us to custom-tailor the Program to your unique interest and skills, placing you in optimum roles aligned for success. Each rotation in the Program prepares you to navigate with ease and execution of a seasoned employee. In addition, with every turn, you gain an in-depth look at integral departments, learning the ins and outs of the Chelsea Process while getting to know the other vital employees to who we attribute much of our success today. So, whether you are driven to a specific career path or want to use your unique skill set to figure that out along the way, the RDP could be just the Program for you.

RDP at a Glance

  • Individualized rotational assignments in different departments which combine learning with skill development through practical, hands-on work and instruction
  • Learning the nuances of Estimating, Submissions, Purchasing, Project Management, Controls (switches and dimmers, to computerized lighting control systems), Sales, and Administration in the Lighting and Controls Distribution business
  • Ongoing educational assignments that will help develop technical, professional, and interpersonal skills
  • Developmental activities including mentoring, industry networking events, executive presentations, vendor presentations, manufacturing facility tours, and social events
  • Learning the evolving technology associated with “The Internet of Things (IoT)”, through our Controls group
  • Advancing in rotational assignments is based solely on your performance and being matched to a full-time position based on skills and interests aligning business needs

We are Looking for Emerging Talent – Candidates Who:

  • Have successfully completed their undergraduate or graduate degree, ideally, in Business- and/or Engineering- related areas of study
  • Believe that performance and results are the catalyst for advancement
